NOTIFICATION

1. In continuation of this Council's notification dated 7 th February 1997 the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology under the provision of Rule 44(a) of the Memorandum of Association and Rules of the Council reconstitutes the Regional Committee of Hyderabad, Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technology with immediate effect.

2. The Regional Committee Hyderabad (covering Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Pondicherry ) will have the following composition:

3. The terms of official and non-official members of the Regional committee would be 3 years or till they cease to be members of the Executive Committee/ General Body of CAPART, whichever is earlier.

4. The functions of the Regional Committee would be as under:-

•  to consider project proposals upto an outlay of Rs. 10 lakhs. These would be examined with the assistance of panels of experts/ reputed voluntary organizations and then placed before the respective committee for consideration and approval.

•  Monitoring of projects sanctioned within the Zone with the assistance of panels of experts/ monitors.

•  Identification of Institutions for training of functionaries of Voluntary Organisations.

•  To maintain liaison and coordinate with the State Governments and district authorities.

•  Promotion and development of small informal group.

5. The Committee would meet as often as is necessary.

•  Representative of the Voluntary Organisations shall be entitled to TA/DA as applicable in CARART.
